Nasser El Sonbaty a Great from Germany
Nasser El Sonbaty was born on October 15, 1965 in Germany. He is a legendary IFBB
pro body builder and has competed worldwide. Nasser began to train
seriously in 1983 and his first major competition was in the Junior
State Championship held in Germany where he was placed 6th overall.
Nasser
is a graduate from the University of Augsburg and completed his studies
having attained a master’s degree in political science and history. His
debut in the Mr. Olympia competition was in the year 1994 where he was
ranked 7th.
Nasser
has competed in a total of 13 amateur competitions and 53 IFBB
professional contests. He qualified for a record 10 consecutive Mr.
Olympia competitions and participated in nine of them. His crowning
moment of his career was n 1997 when he was placed second in Mr. Olympia competition.
He
is claimed to weigh over 300 pounds during off season with his
abdominal muscles still visible. Nasser is commonly referred to as the
"Uncrowned Mr. Olympia," or “Huge Nasser” by numerous term papers writers. He is also purported by several book critiques
on his achievements to be the most learned body builder as seen by his
ability to speak several languages and his master degree in political
science. He was once a much sought athlete to feature in body building
magazines and has been on more than 60 covers, including the famous FLEX
magazine.
